Password Issue

Searched high & low on this, but cannot find an answer.... :(

Is there a way to "un-mask" or view the connection passwords in the connections dialog?

Is the information stored?

The only option that comes close is the View -> Options -> Policy -> Don't encrypt passwords, but it has to be applied prior to entering the password.
