ImportGlobal not working

Post by mkozak »

I'm trying to use the ImportGlobal option to provide a non editable list of sites to all users. I've tried this in both the lite and pro trial versions. The documentation says its an install option, but that didn't work. I installed the pro version normally then ran coreftp.exe -ImportFile c:\temp\file. Then I launched coreftp normally and this worked to import the list, but it was editable. I'm guessing I'm not doing something right, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You'll likely need to open up a command window as administrator ("run as admin"). The -importglobal option uses the HKLM section of the registry which usually requires admin privileges to write to it...

I ran the installation and launched the application from an adminsitrator command prompt.

In the Site Manager, try right clicking on the list of sites and select the "Reindex Sites" option
