Just bought this Windows 8 computer in 12/2012. I am able to login without problem on my Windows 7 computer, and have verified the access information. I get the 530 Login Authentication Failed message when I try to login. Then I try to click on the question mark icon for help, and get the message
Core FTP client has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
I do not find any info on the MS site about core ftp.
Any help is appreciated!

If you are running the 32-bit version, uninstall and install the 64-bit version.
