I've been using CoreFTP for quite a while. I had one of the earlier 2.1 builds, and I saw that a new version was available. Grabbed it and performed an install.
It asked if I wanted to back up files, and I said yes.
Open the new version and all my connection info is gone - for like 30+ sites.
In doing some searching here, I see that the site info was supposedly stored in the register, right?
So here's my question: is there any way to get that connection info back? During the "backup" during the re-installation, was this info saved anywhere? Or did the new install just nuke the reg info and effectively create a new, empty file?
Upgrade loss?
Unless you *uninstall*, you should never lose your site profiles. Something might be different about the way you installed this time (permissions).
Try right clicking and selecting "reindex sites" on the list of sites in the Site Manager.
Nope = just the "New Site" entry.
Check this key to see if site data is still in your registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FTPWare\COREFTP\Sites
The connection information is *not* in the BACKUP subdirectory created when you install new verisions.
All the variables are under another subfoler, but that reg entry is empty.
I swear - all I did was run the new install. It asked if I wanted to make a back-up, and I said yes. That's it. ::sigh::
