I have been trialling the server software to resolve an SFTP requirement we have.

Initially I installed v1.2 build 589 and it worked fine and then noticed that actually that was a very old version and there was a V2. Downloaded and updated to V2 build 689 but have issues.

It seems that, although the service starts and I can see no particular issues, port 22 isn't listening and visible when I run netstat to check.

I've tried on a 2012R2 server and also on a 2016 server. Testing on both servers and returned to v1.2 and it all works again.

Any advice please.

in v2 "localhost" will resolve to the local IP instead of 127.0.0.1 in v1.2

If you are connecting to 127.0.0.1, you will need to add that to the "domain/IP address" field:

localhost, 127.0.0.1

or use the computer name instead of localhost.
